Robert Ball Varn Jr., 62, died unexpectedly on October 2, 2022 in Georgetown, SC.  Robert was born September 16, 1960 in Charleston SC, the son of the late Robert Ball Varn Sr., and Frances Fox Varn.

Robert grew up on Sullivan's Island and enjoyed spending time on the water.  He was an avid hunter and enjoyed woodworking.  He was a plumber by trade.  He had many adventures with his wife of 100 years (jokingly), from traveling in a jon boat down the Yukon River to sailing the Caribbean.  Robert was one of a kind adventurist with a character of his own.  Robert was always seen with his sidekick "Gator".

Robert is survived by his wife of 35 years, Frances MacNeal Varn, one sister Sherry Varn Barley (Stephen), predeceased by his sister Lisa Varn.  Robert was also survived by the MacNeal family whom he called the "outlaws".  He has several nieces and nephews, Nicole, Jason B., Josh, Lee, Jason M., Dana, JK, Ellen, Olin, Francie, Stella, Crystal, Ali, Mark and Joe.
