Roberta Louise Clemons Tisdale, 78, died Tuesday, February 6, 2007, at her residence.
Mrs. Tisdale was born in Andrews on July 10, 1928, a daughter of the late Robert Bissel Clemons and Annie Louise Smith Clemons. She grew up in Andrews, graduated from Andrews High School, and attended the University of South Carolina. Mrs. Tisdale retired from Oneita Knitting Mills in 1990. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher for 49 years. Mrs. Tisdale was also a member of the Anna Hannah Circle of the United Methodist Women. She was the widow of Laurice Durant Tisdale.
Surviving are: a daughter, Roberta Moody of Georgetown; a son, Larry Tisdale and his wife Mary of Andrews; a sister, Emma Davis of Andrews; two brothers, R. B. "Bob" Clemons of Andrews and Ervin Clemons of Litchfield Beach; five grandchildren, Randy Tisdale, William Moody, Brian Tisdale, Meredith Kellahan, and Matthew Moody; and four great-grandchildren, Christian Tisdale, Chloe Tisdale, Sarah Kensley Kellahan, and Ella Moody.
Funeral services will be three-thirty o'clock Friday afternoon, February 9, 2007, at Trinity United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Sandra Stevens Poirel. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
