Georgetown: R. Lee Kienitz, 60, died Tuesday, August 14, 2007, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach. Mr. Kienitz was born in St. Paul, Minn. on April 8, 1947, a son of Irma Groth Kienitz and the late Leroy Emil Kienitz. He grew up in Poughkeepsie, N. Y. and graduated from Newark College of Engineering in Newark, N. J., Class of 1984. Mr. Kienitz worked as an electrician for a number of years and was currently employed with Hunter Specialties, Inc. of Summerville. He attended Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Surviving in addition to his mother of Georgetown are: his step-father, Robert L. Dennis, Jr. of Georgetown; two brothers, Craig A. Kienitz and his wife Nancy of Houston, Tex. and Frederick W. Kienitz and his wife Alison of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; a sister, Candace Anne Kienitz of San Diego, Calif.; and three nephews. Memorial services will be four o'clock Friday afternoon, August 17, 2007, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Pastor Nedra Merriman.
