Georgetown: Ronelle Williams Drayton, 84, died Thursday, July 1, 2004 at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet. Mrs. Drayton was born in the Center Community of Georgetown County on September 14, 1919, a daughter of the late Rock Williams and Janie Gunter Williams. She attended Georgetown Co. schools and Horry-Georgetown Technical College. Mrs. Drayton was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and was employed by Georgetown Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving are: two sons, Everette Drayton and his wife Patsy and Jimmy Drayton and his wife Johnette, all of Florence; four daughters, Betty McElveen and Jenelle Fulton and her husband Tommy, all of Georgetown, Carol Barker and her husband Ronnie of Houston, Tex., and Marilyn Blake of Greenwood; a sister, Esther Faye Eaddy of Hemingway; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Dayton was predeceased by: her husband Mathew Drayton; three grandchildren, Christopher Drayton, Bryan Drayton, and Melanie Fulton; a great-grandchild, Sommer Lyle; and two brothers, Marvin Williams and Pink Williams. Funeral services will be two o'clock Saturday afternoon, July 3, 2004 at First Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Ted A. Sherrill and the Rev. Dr. Ronald G. Dillon.
