Georgetown: Rosalind Casteel Peacock, 69, died July 17, 2013, at the Medical University of S.C. Hospital in Charleston. Mrs. Peacock was born on August 16, 1943, a daughter of the late Walter Pete Casteel and Irma Jo Cox Casteel. She grew up in Thomaston, Ga. and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. Mrs. Peacock retired from Rogers and Brown Custom House Brokers. She was very creative in glass engraving. Mrs. Peacock had a great love of the water, boats and fishing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and best friend. Surviving are: her husband, James W. Peacock, Jr. of Georgetown; a son, Alan Peacock of Monroe, N.C.; a daughter, Christie Middleton (Mike) of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Sharon Braddy (Earnest) of Manchester, Ga.; and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday afternoon, July 20, 2013 at two o'clock in the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Keith Wall.
