Ruby Marsh Butler, 86, former resident of Georgetown, died Saturday, September 2, 2008 in Brevard N.C.
Mrs. Butler was born in Georgetown on March 7, 1920, a daughter of the late Thomas Long Marsh and Mary Magdalene Burgess Marsh. She lived in Georgetown most of her life and was a member of Georgetown Presbyterian Church and a former choir member. Mrs. Butler was the widow of Benjamin H. Butler, lifetime employee of West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company.
Surviving are: a son J. Milton Butler of Campobello; a daughter, Linda B. McKenzie of Sarasota, Fla.; a sister, Lee M. Main of Fayetteville, N.C.; three granddaughters, Karie M. Freeman of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Lynne M. Cuttino of Charlotte, N.C. and Kimberly M. Robertson of Simpsonville; a grandson, Christopher Michael McKenzie of Sarasota, FL.; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be twelve noon Tuesday in Georgetown Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Stephen H. Wilkins. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
