Georgetown: Ruby Self Henry, 88, widower of Edward Carlton Henry, died Wednesday, November 25, 2020, as her son's residence in Pelion. Mrs. Henry was born March 21, 1932, in Del Rio, TN, a daughter of the late William Nathan Self and Hulda Jane Davis Henry. Mrs. Henry grew up in Georgetown and spent most of her life there and graduated High School in Tennessee. She was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church where she taught the children's nursery for many years. She was a kind and loving person and was loved by all who knew her. She was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Surviving are: two sons, Charles E. Henry (Sandy) of Pelion and William F. Henry of Surfside Beach; two sisters, Sarah Jordan of Andrews and Lena Roberts of Willington, NC; a brother, Bobby Self (Frances) of Georgetown; a grandson, Michael Henry (Fiancée- Kara) of Ansonia, CN; a great-granddaughter, Kendra Ann Smith of Lexington; three nieces, Amy Self and Freda Baxley both of Georgetown and Doreen Larimer (Jerry) of N. Charleston; and a nephew, Sam Standrod of Birmingham, AL. Graveside services will be two o'clock Monday, November 30, 2020, in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
