Andrews:
Ruby Jewel Floyd Moore, 82, widow of William Farrel Moore, Jr., died Saturday, August 2, 2014, at her residence.
Mrs. Moore was born in Lake City on January 10, 1932, a daughter of the late Eddie Gregg Floyd and Ruth Angela Webster Floyd. She graduated from Lake City High School in 1950 and married her husband of 56 years in 1951. Mrs. Moore was employed with Overton Woodlands and retired from Westvaco. She and her husband were both active members of First Baptist Church of Andrews, where they sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and worked in the nursery. Mr. Moore passed away in November of 2006.
Her special caregivers were family members Christie Moore and Sharon Bryant of Andrews who made her final years fun and full of adventure as well as safe, comfortable, and happy.
Surviving are: three sons, Will Moore (Loretta) of Worcester, Mass., and Dan Moore (Bobbie Dean) and Michael Moore (Lori), both of Andrews; two daughters, Judy Moore and Christie Moore, both of Andrews; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lynda Fisher (Floren) of Jacksonville, Fla.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Moore was predeceased by: four brothers, Arnold E. Floyd, Bobby Floyd, David L. Floyd, and Sam M. Floyd; and a sister, Mary Ann Rou.
Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock Tuesday morning, August 5, 2014, at First Baptist Church of Andrews. Officiating will be the Rev. Donald P. Sapp. Burial will follow at Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
