Obituary

Andrews: Rev. Russell Benjamin Reed, 90, died Sunday, July 25, 2004, at his residence. Rev. Reed was born in Colesville, Md. on December 12, 1913, a son of the late Edward L. Reed and Bessie E. Tucker Reed. He attended Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. Rev. Reed was a member of the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Maryland and was also a member of Rosemary Chapter #195, Order of the Eastern Star in Andrews. Rev. Reed was a retired United Methodist minister and supervisor for BellSouth. He was a former member of the United Methodist Church in Valdosta, Ga. and lived in Summerville for 15 years before moving to Andrews. Rev. Reed was a member and elder at Andrews Presbyterian Church, where he taught at the Millard Bible School. Surviving are: his wife, Jennie Nexsen Reed of Andrews; a daughter, Gloria Reed of Rockledge, Fla.; and a sister, Charlotte R. Stup of Burtonsville, Md. Graveside services will be on Tuesday morning, July 27, 2004, at Andrews Memorial Cemetery at eleven o'clock. Officiating will be The Rev. Billy E. Rufus. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Andrews Presbyterian Church, 106 S. Rosemary Ave., Andrews, S.C. 29510 or to: Thad E.
