Ruth Denney Hardee, 83, died Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Hospice of Charleston in Mt. Pleasant.
Mrs. Hardee was born January 15, 1927 in McClellanville, the daughter of the late Marion and Mabel Jackson Denney. She was a member of McClellanville Baptist Church. Mrs. Hardee retired from South Carolina Crab Company as bookkeeper and was owner of Ruthie's Restaurant.
Mrs. Hardee was preceded in death by: her husband, Festus Hardee; and sisters, Leona Cumbee, Margaret Driggers, and Lilly Page.
Surviving are: her loving niece Monique Eaddy Betzen, husband Paul, and boys Dalton and Cole of Mt. Pleasant; a brother, James (Catherine) Denney of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Ila Mae (Gus) Cumbee, of McClellanville, Marie Dye of Mt. Pleasant, and Myrtle (Bobby) Eaddy of Moncks Corner; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at three-thirty o'clock Sunday afternoon, June 27, 2010 at McClellanville Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Ricky West and the Rev. David Roberts. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery in Awendaw.

The family will receive friends at the McClellanville Baptist Church Fellowship Hall prior the service from two until three-thirty.
