Georgetown:
Ruth Turner Taylor, 80, died Friday, September 8, 2006, at Myrtle Beach Estates.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Columbia on December 30, 1925, daughter of the late Otis Earl Turner and Ruth Sistrunk Turner. She was a graduate of Dreher High School in Columbia and Queens College in Charlotte, N.C. Mrs. Taylor was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church and the Francis Asbury Sunday School Class of the church and taught Sunday School for a number of years. She was a former volunteer for Hospice and the Georgetown Co. Mental Health Assn.
Mrs. Taylor was predeceased by: her husband, Dr. Harry Calhoun Taylor, Jr.; and a son, Harry Calhoun "Chip" Taylor, III.
Surviving are: two daughters, Susan T. Joseph and her husband Johnny of Georgetown and Lisa T. Albernaz and her husband Marcus of Greenville, N. C.; and four grandchildren, Alice Joseph, Taylor Joseph, Joseph Albernaz, and Turner Albernaz.
Funeral services will be five o'clock Sunday afternoon, September 10, 2006, at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Phillip C. Thrailkill. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service at the Family Life Center of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church from four until five.
