Pawleys Island:
Sandra Mae Spanier Casias, 75, died Sunday, October 18, 2015, at National Healthcare of Garden City.
Mrs. Casias was born in Laurens, Iowa on March 23, 1940, a daughter of the late William and Velma Brechler Spanier. She grew up in Laurens and graduated from high school there. Mrs. Casias was formally employed as a secretary and purchaser for a number of firms. She was a member of South Strand Assembly of God in Murrells Inlet. Mrs. Casias loved quilting.
Surviving are: four sons, Bruce Peterson of Pawleys Island, Mark J. Peterson (Deborah) of Myrtle Beach, Michael T. Peterson ( Karen) of Newfane, Vt., and Larry S. Casias (Christina) of Washington; a brother, Terrill Spanier (Debbie) of Laurens, Iowa; a special friend and caregiver, Lauren Joye of Pawleys Island; nine grandchildren, Micah Seth, Ryan Blaine, Brandon, Spencer, Grayson, Zack, Desiree, and Michael Peterson, and Rebeckah Atkinson; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Friday morning, November 6, 2015 at eleven o'clock in South Strand Assembly of God. Officiating will be the Rev. Robert Hayes.
