Obituary

Georgetown: Sarah Lee Skipper Davis Wynn, 80, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Tidelands Hospice House. Mrs. Wynn was born in Conway on February 27, 1934, a daughter of the late Homer Frank Skipper and Bessie Ann Skipper. She lived in Horry County and graduated from Conway High School in 1952. Mrs. Wynn worked as a kindergarten teacher at First Baptist Church, at "Miss" Sarah's Day Care, and as a CNA at Winyah Convalescent Center and at the Lakes at Litchfield. She was a member of First Baptist Church and attended Johnson Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs. Wynn loved her family, friends, and church. Surviving are: her son, Kenneth Michael Davis (Gwendolyn) of Georgetown; two granddaughters, Kadie Lee Davis and Amy Michelle Cameron; three grandsons, Charlie L. Taylor, III, Joey Cameron, and Ryan Cameron (Ashley); two sister-in-laws, Linda A. Skipper and Susie R. Morris (Doug), both of Conway; a step-daughter, Carolyn W. Cameron (Mickey) of Georgetown; and a step-son, Patrick Wynn (Lesley) of Georgia. Mrs. Wynn is predeceased by: her first husband, Walter Ross Davis; her second husband, Joseph Patrick Wynn, Jr.; her son, Walter Lee Davis; and her two brothers, Homer Paul Skipper and Wendell Frank Skipper. Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock on Saturday morning, March 22, 2014, at First Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Stephen P. Candal and the Rev. Keith Wall. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, March 21, 2014, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home from five until seven o'clock.
