Sarah Hamilton Sinclair, 91, died Friday, November 24, 2006, in LaGrange.
Mrs. Sinclair was born in Bogalusa, La. on March 27, 1915, the daughter of the late William Thomas Hamilton and Jennie Grey Hamilton. The widow of Walter Scott Sinclair, she lived in Georgetown for almost 60 years and was a former member of First Baptist Church and the Esther Sunday School Class. Mrs. Sinclair retired in 1977 from the Woodland Division of International Paper Co. in Georgetown, where she had been employed for twenty-five years. After moving to LaGrange, Mrs.Sinclair became a member of Unity Baptist Church.
Surviving are: a daughter, Barbara S. Nivens and her husband Marion (Sarah's favorite son-in-law) of Hogansville, Ga.; two grandsons, Pat Nivens, his wife, Caroline, and sons, Joel and Sean; and Brian Nivens, his wife Jessica, and a daughter, Sophia; a nephew, Mike Roberts and his wife Elaine of Pawleys Island; and two nieces, Jackie Weston of North Carolina, and Betty Montgomery of Georgia.
Funeral services will be one o'clock Sunday afternoon, November 26, 2006, at First Baptist Church in Georgetown. Officiating will be the Rev. Hiram L. McElrath and the Rev. Wallace Wise. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens in Georgetown.
The family will receive friends at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home, Saturday evening, November 25, 2006, from six until eight.
