Georgetown: Shelby North, 90, died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at his residence. Mr. North was born in Evanston, Illinois on December 11, 1917, a son of the late Hugh North and Kathleen Dearle North. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois and served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Mr. North retired after forty years service with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He was the widower of Jane Thompson North. Surviving are: a daughter, Suzanne Logue of Windsor Heights, Iowa; a step-son, Christopher Sabin and his wife Yvonne of Coral Springs, Fla.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
