Andrews:
Shirley Anne Walters Borowsky, 70, wife of Arnold Louis Borowsky, died Monday,
December 23, 2013, in Summerville.
Shirley was born in Kingstree on January 22, 1943, a daughter of the late Edgar
Beaufort Walters and Mary Nell Cox Walters. She was a graduate of Andrews High School.
Shirley was employed by First Baptist Church School in Charleston for twenty-nine years. After
Working at First Baptist, Shirley became a full-time grandmother. She adored spending time
with all of her family, but especially her grandkids, whom she spoiled all the time.
Shirley was an active member in her church and in her community. Her love for Christ is
what she is remembered for most. She was currently a member of First Baptist Church of
Andrews.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by a daughter, Selina Borowsky; and
three brothers, Edgar, Dale, and Charles Walters.
Surviving are: her husband of fifty-two years of Andrews; two daughters, Karla Kaddas
of Andrews and Heidi Carson (Jimmy) of Summerville; a son, Arnie Borowsky (Elizabeth) of
Andrews; ten grandchildren; Ilias, Micah, Nathan, Annaletta, Aaron, Emma, Hannah, Mary,
Grace, and Levi.
Funeral Services will be one o'clock Saturday afternoon, December 28, 2013 in First
Baptist Church of Andrews. Officiating will be the Rev. Donald P. Sapp. Burial will follow in
Suttons United Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Church Sanctuary
prior to the service from twelve noon until one.
