Pawleys Island: Stephen Henry Lullmann, 78, husband of Penelope "Penny" Peterson Lullmann, died Monday, July 27, 2020, in Vibra Hospital of Charleston. Mr. Lullmann was born in Teaneck, NJ, on November 25, 1941, a son of the late Henry Carl Lullmann and Miriam Iversen Lullmann. He grew up in New Jersey and graduated from the Admiral Farragut Academy. Mr. Lullmann attended the University of Florida and graduated from Lake Forest College in Illinois. Mr. Lullmann joined the US Army after college and serviced in Viet Nam from 1967 – 1968. He became a builder on Cape Cod, concluding a successful career as a general contractor in Northeast Harbor , ME. One of his greatest loves was writing, he really had a gift of words and would always write a recap of all the golf games with The Heritage Weekend Warriors. The "News Letter" became so well liked even the golfer's wives would ask when the next one would be out. He and Penny retired early to Pawleys Island and made it their low county home. Mr. Lullman was an avid hunter and fisherman, along with other outdoor sports. In summer they looked forward to a few months spent at their summer home in Mashpee on Cape Cod. Surviving are: his wife of Pawleys Island; a step-son, Erik Atwell (Julie) of Glen, NH; grandson Zachary Atwell and granddaughter Quinn Atwell; his step-mother, Mary Lullman of Palm City, FL; a niece, Penny Sinstack (Gary) of Oneonta, NY; a great niece, Caitlin Sinstack; a great nephew, Nicholas Sinstack (Stacy); and a great-grandniece, Raelyn Sinstack all of Oneonta, NY.
