Georgetown: Sterling Dale Shahan, 65, died Thursday, November 8, 2007, at Ralph H. Johnson D.V.A. Medical Center in Charleston. Mr. Shahan was born in Rosemont W. Va. on March 28, 1942, a son of the late Floyd Shahan and Lummie Tinney Shahan. He grew up in West Virginia and served in the Army in Germany during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Mr. Shahan moved to Georgetown in 1989 and worked as an automobile mechanic with Hoover Chrysler Dodge for a time. Surviving are: his wife, Karen Hein Shahan of Georgetown; a son, Michael Shahan of Clarksburg, W. Va.; a brother, Ernest Shahnan of Bridgeport, W. Va.; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home Saturday evening, November 10, 2007 from four until six. No services are planned.
