Steven Lee Banks, 72, of Riverside Road, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at home, peacefully surrounded by love. He was born January 18, 1951, in Lancaster, son of the late Levis Banks and Mary Alice (Steele) Banks.

Steve was a great father and friend, and he helped everyone in any way he could. He was a great man, adored and loved by so many.

He is survived by two daughters. Stephanie Lee Bowers and her husband, William Smith of Lancaster and Kimberly Mattes of San Antonio, TX; his uncle, Allen Banks and his wife, Mary Jo of Lancaster; his girlfriend, Renee Parkman of Lancaster; 9 grandchildren; niece, Maryanne Boone of Lancaster and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Steven Lee Banks, Jr.

A family led memorial service will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11 at the home, 1391 Riverside Road, Lancaster.

The Georgetown Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
