Georgetown:
Susan Taylor Bratcher, 88, died Monday, June 9, 2008, at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Mrs. Bratcher was born in Williamsburg Co. on June 14, 1919, a daughter of the late Isaac Paul Taylor and Sallie Ann Thompson Taylor. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Platt Sunday School Class, and was former president of the Young as Ever Group.
Mrs. Bratcher was predeceased by: her husband, John H. Bratcher; three brothers, C. J. Taylor, Ernest Taylor, and Andrew Taylor; and two sisters, Jane Browder, and Claudia Freeman Morris.
Surviving are: a daughter, Becky Bratcher of Georgetown; three sisters-in-law, Betty Taylor of North Charleston, Lula E. Bratcher and Mary B. Lambert, both of Andrews; a brother-in-law, Daniel Bratcher of Andrews; two special daughters, Kristen Cantey of Georgetown and Sylvia Gaines of Andrews; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be ten o'clock Thursday morning, June 12, 2008, at First Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Ted A. Sherrill and the Rev. Sara Thacker. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
