Teresa Robbins Hobbs, 66, died October 10, 2015, at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet.
Mrs. Hobbs was born in Brevard, N. C. on January 14, 1949, the daughter of the late Claude Carroll Robbins and Ethel Josephine Alverson Robbins. She grew up in Aiken, graduated from Aiken High School and was a member of Aiken's First Baptist Church. Mrs. Hobbs received her degree in education from Columbia College, later received her certificate in math, and taught for the Georgetown County School System. She was a very creative person in music, furniture refinishing, and pottery. Mrs. Hobbs was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt.
Surviving are; a son, Jonathan Hobbs (Maureen) of Wilmington, N. C.; a brother, Claude Robbins, II of Smyrna, Tenn.; two sisters, Karen R. Murphy of Charlotte, N. C. and Gail Hendricks (Michael) of Georgetown; and a granddaughter, Lily Hobbs.
Memorial services will be Saturday morning, October 24, 2015 at eleven o'clock in the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Betty Alverson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from ten to eleven o'clock.
