Georgetown: Thedra Blasky Doniphan, 72, died Friday, October 15, 2004, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Doniphan was born in Georgetown on November 2, 1931, a daughter of the late Rudolph George Blasky and Jennie Smoak Blasky. She grew up in Georgetown and was valedictorian of her graduating class at Winyah High School. Mrs. Doniphan worked in a number of places and was a former Director of the Council on Ageing. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the widow of Vernon Gerald Doniphan. Surviving are: a son, Jerry Doniphan of Andrews; a brother, George S. Blasky of Newport News, Va.; and a sister, Marjorie B. Watts of Georgetown. Funeral services will be two o'clock Tuesday afternoon, October 19, 2004, at First Baptist Church.
