Georgetown:
Thelma Bone Altman, 66, died Sunday, September 4, 2005, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Altman was born in Georgetown on October 31, 1938, a daughter of the late LeRoy Wilson Bone and Sarah Edna Ward Bone. She grew up in the Sampit community of Georgetown Co. Mrs. Altman and was a graduate of Andrews High School, where she was the first female bus driver. She was the owner of Charlie's Music Co. and the widow of Charles Davis Altman. Mrs. Altman was a member of Sampit United Methodist Church.
Surviving are: a son, Jason R. Altman and his wife Lea of Georgetown; two grandchildren, Caroline Altman and Daniel Altman, both of Georgetown; two brothers, Oneal Bone and Rocky Bone, both of Georgetown; and a sister, Eva Mae Overby of Georgetown.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Tuesday morning, September 6, 2005, at the graveside in Sampit United Methodist Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Bruce Adams.
