Cartersville, Ga.: Mrs. Thelma Bauer Gandy, age 86, of Cartersville, Georgia, formerly of Andrews, South Carolina, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010, at a local health care center. Mrs. Gandy was born June 21, 1923 in Andrews, a daughter of the late John Joseph Bauer, Sr. and Martha Linn Bauer. She graduated from Andrews High School and was a member of Andrews Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Gandy was employed by Martin Drug Store in Andrews. She was married December 22, 1941 to Roland B. Gandy, who preceded her in death on December 8, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Oscar Wayne Gandy; a daughter, Kitty Reamer; and by brothers and sisters, Glenn Bauer, Roma Bauer, Ralph Bauer, Ester McKenzie, Luella McKenzie and Russell Bauer. Survivors include her children; Leonard Gandy and wife Linda of Cartersville, Ga., and Jeffery E. Gandy and wife Gayle of Columbia; a brother, John Joseph Bauer, Jr. and wife Katherine of Andrews, South Carolina; a son-in-law, Jim Reamer; grandchildren; Lara Lillie, Roland B. Gandy, II, Jeremy Gandy, Cheryl Ryan, Donna Skinner, Neil Reamer and Edwin Reamer; great-grandchildren, Richard Chester Lillie, IV, Jenna Lillie, Dawson Lillie, Roland Bruin Gandy, III, Jackson Gandy, Colt Freeman, Will Ryan, Jason Reamer and Leigh Reamer; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
