Andrews:

Thelma Howard Miles, 79, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at South Strand Medical Center.

Mrs. Miles was born in Williamsburg County on April 8, 1943, a daughter of the late, Arthur Javel Howard and Bessie Johnson Howard.

Thelma grew up in Andrews and graduated Andrews High School. She was a very active person who loved to do just about anything. Thelma was a great dancer and loved to show off her flare for style. She was the life of the party and kept her friends and audience laughing. Thelma was known all over town for her loving dispositions and wonderful smile. She was a friend who loved everyone and was dedicated to her town. Thelma was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a special friend to so many.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Miles is predeceased by: her son, Timothy Miles, three siblings, Catherine Yates, Laverne Howard and Faye Howard.

Surviving are: three daughter, Vickie Wucher (Jim) of Fleming Island, FL, Terri Lawhorn (Kenney) of Alexander City, AL, and Jennifer Miles (Eric) of Goose Creek; five grandchildren, Michael McCants (Brittany), Megan Ervin (Jonathan), Travis McCants (Megan), Tristan Miles and Olivia Miles; five great-grandchildren, Layton and Loftyn McCants, Cooper and Emma Cole McCants and Cameron Ervin; three sisters, Pearl Lambert (R.J.), Virginia Shuler, and Carolyn Cannon (Sapp).

Graveside Services will be eleven o'clock Saturday, September 10, 2022, in Andrews Memorial Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Dean Baber.
