Thelma Wall Rushton, 84, died Friday, March 9, 2007, at Georgetown Healthcare and Rehab, Inc.
Mrs. Rushton was born in Georgetown on July 27, 1922, a daughter of the late Samuel A. Wall and Elizabeth Bellflowers Wall. She was reared by her aunt, the late Lizzie Wall Miller, in Georgetown and graduated from Winyah High School. Mrs. Rushton was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of Women's Aglo and was a former volunteer at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Ruston was predeceased by: her husband, Justin A. "Pee Wee" Rushton; and a brother, Samuel Wall.
Surviving are: a son, James A. Rushton of Manchester, N. J.; two daughters, Dale R. Taylor of Sumter and Janet R. Owens of Georgetown; a sister, Louise W. Graves of N. Y., N. Y.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Tuesday morning, March 13, 2007, at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Phillip C. Thrailkill and the Rev. Keith Wall. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
