Surfside Beach: Theodore Harrison Lauretano, 72, or Surfside Beach, died December 23, 2020, at his home. Ted was born in Columbia on April 11, 1948, a son of the late Alfonso Sabino Arturo Lauretano and the late Mildred Roberta Floyd Lauretano. He grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Winyah High School. A retired Senior Electrical Estimator, Ted worked in the industrial electrical sales field for many years. Teddy was a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, who loved his family. He treated friends like family, with a laugh, a place to kick back, and home cooked meals. He was a talented musician, songwriter, and singer. His love for music was palpable. He filled the room with his presence. He loved being at Brookgreen Gardens and found inspiration in the beauty there. A true gift, he will be greatly misses. He is survived by his daughter, Candace Lauretano Boyd and her husband Patrick of Pawleys Island; his son, Nicholas Shaw Lauretano and his wife Jennifer of James Island; three beautiful grandchildren, Caroline Rowan Boyd, Sybastian Rivers Lauretano, and Luna Bella Lauretano.
