Obituary

Andrews: Thomas "Glenn" Barnes, 53, died Thursday, March 23, 2006, at his residence. Mr. Barnes was born in Georgetown o January 26, 1953, a son of the late Owen Louis Barnes and Shirley Ray Barnes. He was a former electrician of B E & K Construction Co. at International Paper Co. He attended Bethel United Methodist Church. Surviving are: seven brothers, Kevin Barnes, Steve Barnes, Michael Barnes, Jimmy Barnes, Gregg Barnes, and Jack Barnes all of Andrews, and Stanley Barnes of Baltimore, Md.; a sister, Janet Faye Barnes of Hampstead, N. C.; and a number of nephews and nieces. Glenn will be missed by Roger, Jo-Jo, and Ariel Chestnut. They gave him many a pleasurable hour and looked up to him as a grandfather figure. Funeral services will be four o'clock Sunday afternoon, March 26, 2006, at Bethel United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Henry Duncan, Jr. and the Rev. Bruce Adams.
