Thomas Barksdale Huguenin of Litchfield Beach, S.C., passed away on November 23rd at home at the age of 80 with his family by his side. Tommy was born to Thomas Francis Huguenin and Sallie Brown Clark in Greenville, S.C. on February 4th, 1942. Tommy graduated from high school at Darlington School in Rome, GA and was a proud Citadel graduate, class of 1964. He was happily married to Martha Dove since 1986.
Over the years Tommy was a banker, realtor, and most recently owner of Huguenin Home Builders. He was a member of Christ the King Grace Church. In the past, he has served as both a Jr. and Sr. Warden. Tommy was happiest at his farm, hunt club and watching birds on his back porch with Martha. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish his whole life. He had many friends that he loved and cherished. He made so many feel good with his memorable smile and contagious laugh.
Tommy was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandparent and uncle. He loved us all unconditionally. He is survived by his wife Martha, children Sallie Houston (Gary) of Davis, CA, Tommy Huguenin, Jr. of Murrells Inlet, SC, Millie Staggs (Leighton) of Atlanta, GA, Aaron Dark of Rock Hill, SC, and Donna Huguenin of Murrells Inlet, SC; his brother T. Frank Huguenin, Jr. (Libba) of Greenville, SC; 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 29th at Christ the King Grace Waccamaw, 9630 Ocean Highway, Pawleys Island, SC, 29585 followed by a reception at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Class of 1964 Scholarship Fund in memory of Thomas Barksdale Huguenin sent in c/o The Citadel Foundation 171 Moultrie St., Charleston, SC, 29409, also Christ The King Grace Church, 9630 Ocean Highway, Pawleys Island, SC 29585
