McClellanville: Throney Shuler Martin, 89, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at Mt. Pleasant Manor in Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Martin was born in Jamestown on August 28, 1915, a daughter of the late "Maxie" Fink Ira Shuler and Ida Belle Brinson Shuler. She grew up in Shulerville and graduated from Macedonia High School. Mrs. Martin moved to McClellanville as a young woman. She was a member of McClellanville Baptist Church and the widow of William Thomas Martin, Jr. Surviving are: three daughters, Nancy M. Morrison of McClellanville, Dinkey M. Stroman of Mt. Pleasant, and Joyce M. Moody of Springfield, Va.; a sister, Flossie Stewart of Jamestown; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be two o'clock Friday afternoon, July 1, 2005, at McClellanville Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Ricky West and the Rev. William E. Archer.
