Mt. Pleasant: Thurman Sessions "T.S." Calhoun, Jr., 81. widower of Pamela Diane Korb Calhoun died Monday, December 18, 2017, at his residence. Mr. Calhoun was born in Conway on November 23, 1936, a son of the late Thurman Sessions Calhoun, Sr. and Myrtle Hughes Calhoun. He grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Winyah High School. Mr. Calhoun was a SC Highway Patrolman until joining and retiring from the SC State Law Enforcement Division SLED. He loved his grands and great-grands which brought much joy to his life In addition to his parents, Mr. Calhoun is predeceased by: two daughters, Rhonda and Tammy Calhoun; a brother, John Calhoun and a sister, Rebecca Calhoun Braatz. Survivors are: a son, Rev. T. S. "Buddy" Calhoun, III (Diane) of Moncks Corner; a daughter, Allison Dennis (Luke) of Moncks Corner; a sister, Shirley C. Cauthen of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Jared Calhoun (Sarah), Sarah Kirby (Richard), Luke Dennis, Jr. and Kathryn Dennis; and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday morning, December 23, 2107, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home from ten until eleven o'clock. Services and burial will be private.
