Georgetown:
Thurmond Cary Bostick, Jr., 73, died Saturday, November 27, 2004, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Bostick was born in Charleston on December 16, 1930, a son of the late T. Cary Bostick and Leah Kinsey Reeves. He grew up in Awendaw and served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Bostick was the former owner-operator of B & M Machine and Welding Co. and patented a remote control barge that was used by International Paper Company for a number of years. He owned and operated the Anchor Inn restaurant and built and owned the Flying Fisher I and Flying Fisher II deep sea fishing boats in Murrells Inlet. Mr. Bostick was currently the owner and operator of a commercial shrimp boat, the "Miss Whitehall".
Surviving are: his wife, Leona Holmes Bostick of Georgetown; three daughters, Donna B. Lemin of Atlanta, Ga., Dianne B. Assey of Mt. Pleasant, and Lisa B. Black of Charleston; a sister, Jeanette Williamson of Georgetown; two brothers, Donald Bostick of Ocala, Fla. and Kenneth Bostick of Panama City, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be two o'clock Wednesday afternoon, December 1, 2004, at Screven Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. R. Wayne Ellis. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home, Tuesday evening, November 30, 2004 from six until eight.
