Andrews:
Tommy Long, 55, was discovered dead at his residence, July 12, 2007.
Mr. Long was born in Hemingway on December 5, 1951, a son of the late Henry Long and Alberta Duncan Long. He lived all of his life in the Piney Forest Community of Williamsburg Co. Mr. Long was an employee of Tedder Logging Co. He was an avid NASCAR fan.
Mr. Long was predeceased by: a half-brother, Lafeytte Long.
Surviving are: four brothers, Raymond Long, Wayne Long, William J. Long, and Ken Long, all of Andrews; four sisters, Mary Hyman of Johnsonville, Alice Davis, Leila Abrams, and Betty Kirton, all of Andrews; three half-brothers, Richard Long of Murrells Inlet, Glennie Long and John Henry Long both of Andrews; three half-sisters, Irene Gibson of Georgetown, Beatrice Cribb and Thelma Blakley both of Andrews; and a number of nieces and nephews that he loved.
Graveside services will be three o'clock Saturday afternoon, July 14, 2007, in Ivey Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Jeff Goude and the Rev. Murray Powell.
