Georgetown: Tristan Daniel Fowler, 5, died Sunday, January 18, 2015, at the Medical University of SC. Tristan was born in Charleston on October 23, 2009, a son of Windy Denise Fowler and James Matthew Chavis. He was an angel, and his smile was infectious. He fought bravely for five years and leaves behind many loving friends. In addition to his parents of Georgetown, surviving are: his maternal grandparents, Melvin E. Fowler of Loris and Carol Fowler of Georgetown; his maternal great-grandmothers, Jeannett Fowler of Loris and Mary E. Ricks of Georgetown; his paternal grandfather, David Chavis of Georgetown; his paternal great-grandmother, Ethel Chavis of Georgetown; an uncle, Charles E. Fowler of Georgetown; and a step-aunt, Kristeena Cribb of Georgetown. Tristan was predeceased by his twin brother, Kason David Fowler. Memorial services will be held at two o'clock on Thursday afternoon, January 22, 2015, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. John Edwards.
