McClellanville: Una "Junie" Harris Guthrie, 94, died Sunday, December 5, 2004, at her residence. Mrs. Guthrie was born at Harristown in Berkeley Co. on July 13, 1910, a daughter of the late John Calhoun Harris and Loretta Humbert Harris. She lived most of her life in McClellanville. Mrs. Guthrie was a former merchant and retired as a dietician from the McClellanville Public Schools. She was a member of McClellanville Baptist Church and the widow of William Adrian Guthrie. Surviving are: a sister, Dorothy Jeffords of Florence; a nephew, Neal "Larry" M. Sutler of Mt. Pleasant; five nieces, Frances Haynie of McClellanville; Cheryl Evans of Piedmont; Glenda Montrose and Dottie Threadgill, both of Florence, and Elizabeth Brown of Albertson, N. C. Funeral services will be two o'clock Tuesday afternoon, December 7, 2004 at McClellanville Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Ricky West, the Rev. Michael F. Schumpert, and the Rev. Dr. Walter G. Cook. Burial will follow in McClellanville United Methodist Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home.
