Georgetown: Virginia Lawrimore Ereckson, 82, died Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at her residence. Mrs. Ereckson was born in Georgetown on June 7, 1924, a daughter of the late Itly W. Lawrimore and Virginia Baxley Lawrimore. She was a graduate of Winyah High School and attended the University of South Carolina. Mrs. Ereckson was a former Assistant Georgetown County Treasurer and retired in 1987 from the Georgetown County Tax Office. She was a member of the Church of Christ and a volunteer at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Surviving are: her husband, Jimmy Ereckson of Georgetown; two daughters, Sandra Ereckson of Fayetteville, Ga. and Marilyn Jeffcoat and her husband Jon of Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Bobby Lawrimore of Pawleys Island; two grandchildren, Leigh Waltz of Griffin Ga. and James Jeffcoat of Orlando, Fla.; and a great-granddaughter, Mary Catherine Waltz of Griffin, Ga. Memorial services will be one o'clock Thursday afternoon, November 9, 2006, at the Church of Christ. Officiating will be Fred Ady. Inurnment will be private.
