Georgetown:
Virginia Sherwin Roper, 90, loving wife and beloved mother, died Sunday, June 7, 2015.
Mrs. Roper was born in Claremont, New Hampshire on June 12, 1924, the son of the late Alfred Henry Sherwin and Aurora Marie Labrie Sherwin. She was reared in Windsor, Vermont by her parents.
Mrs. Roper was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Women's Club when residing for 58 years in Georgetown, SC with her husband Raymond Edward Roper, deceased.
Surviving are: her son, Raymond Edward Roper, Jr. and wife, Gail Graham Roper of Pawleys Island; two daughters, Cheryl Roper Pritzen and husband, Douglas Terrell Pritzen of Spring, TX and Susan-Marie Sherwin Roper of Spring, TX; seven grandchildren, Ginger Roper Hair, Leslie Roper Keefe, Erin Michelle Roper, Philip Roper Emanuel, Labrie Roper Pritzen Vice, Courtney Marie Roper and Paula Douglas Pritzen; and three great-grand-children, Jennifer Lynn Paul, Taylor Hair Wellborn and Emma Rylee Elkins.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 o'clock Thursday, June 25, 2015 at St. Mary, Our Lady of Ransom Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Ronald J. Farrell. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
