Walter Franklin Green, 53, died Sunday, March 21, 2004 at home.
Mr. Green was born in Andrews on January 31, 1951, a son of the late Paul Green and Mary Evelyn Davis Green. He grew up in the Ten Acre section of Georgetown County near Andrews. Mr. Green graduated from Winyah Academy and attended Campbell College. He was both a pilot and a boat captain and was involved in many various business endeavors.
Surviving are: a sister-in-law, Julie Parker Green of Myrtle Beach; a niece, Mary Gillian Rae Green of Georgetown; three nephews, Paul Douglas Parker Green, Jonathan Tyler Green, and Walter Geoffrey Dillon Green, all of Georgetown; special friends, Jeff Effird and his wife Carol of Chester; and many more family and friends.
Mr. Green was predeceased by: a brother, Paul Douglas Green.
Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon, March 25, 2004, at one o'clock at Georgetown Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be The Rev. Dr. J. Ben Sloan and The Rev. Geraldine Bednego. Burial will follow in the Ponderosa Pine Memorial Cemetery.
A private visitation for the family will be Wednesday evening, March 24, 2004 from six until seven o'clock at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. A public visitation will follow from seven until eight o'clock.
