Andrews:
Wanda Morris Cox McCants, 86, widow of the late Clifford Cox and Heyward McCants, died Thursday, October 26, 2017, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Mrs. McCants was born in Andrews on October 28, 1930, a daughter of the late John Oscar Morris and Chettie Mairee Pinner Morris. She grew up in Andrews and graduated Andrews High School. Mrs. McCants was a member of the First Baptist Church of Andrews, where she was a choir member and served on many committees and different organizations for many years. She and Honor, her twin sister, were very close and one of her joys was visiting Honor in Columbia. Mrs. McCants' greatest love was her family and spending time with them at the beach and the lake. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. McCants was predeceased by: two sisters, Miriam M. Thompson and Mavis M. Davidson; two brothers, Thomas "Tom" Morris and John Elwyn Morris.
Surviving are: a son, Clifford Cox, Jr. (Laurie) of Andrews; a daughter, Sharon C. Fenters (Dave) of Kingstree; four grandchildren, Larry D. Cannon (Jennifer) of Houston, TX; Suzanne Arnau (Chris) of Kingstree; Emily Burke (Matt) of Woodruff and Whitney Cox of Denver, CO.; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Lloyd C. Morris (Joan) of Andrews; and twin sister, Honor M. Cooper Pierce of Columbia.
Funeral Services will be at two o'clock Sunday afternoon, October 29, 2017, at the First Baptist Church of Andrews at 10 N. Rosemary Ave. in Andrews. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Paul Sapp, Rev. Donald Duncan and Rev. Dr. Bob Cline. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday in the church parlor from one until two o'clock.
