Georgetown:
Wava Lee Morris Parker, 84, died Tuesday, February 10, 2004, at the residence of her daughter at Pawley's Island.
Mrs. Parker was born in the Bloomingvale Community of Williamsburg Co. near Andrews on December 13, 1919, a daughter of the late Henry Richard Morris and Daisy Gertrude Fulton Morris. She grew up in the Bloomingvale Community and graduated from Andrews High School. Mrs. Parker lived most of her life in Georgetown and was a Charter Member of Wayne United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Sue Tarboux Circle of the United Methodist Women.
Surviving are: two sons, Harry Parker, Jr. and his wife Alva of Lexington and Keith Parker of Georgetown; two daughters, Sandra Parker of Charleston and Sharon Turner and her husband Joey of Pawley's Island; a brother, Robert Morris of Andrews; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Parker was predeceased by: her husband, Harry L. Parker; three brothers, Walter Morris, Tom Morris, and Wilbur Morris; and four sisters, Lilac Parsons, Sadie Barrineau, Ruth Baker, and Mary Morris.
Funeral services will be one o'clock Friday afternoon, February 13, 2003, in Wayne United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. A. Stephen Holler and the Rev. Gene Norris. Burial will follow in Elim United Methodist Churchyard near Andrews.
The family will receive friends from six until eight Thursday evening, February 12, 2004, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home.
