Michael Wayne Lambert, 72, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

Born in Georgetown, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Jerry Lambert, Jr. and Mary Lou Hartfield Lambert.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Barry Glenn Lambert and Jeffrey Allen Lambert; and his brother-in-law, John Stewart.

Mr. Lambert is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn T. Lambert; his sons, Michael Wayne Lambert, Jr. (Renee) and Nick “Nicky” Wayne Lambert; his grandchildren, Heaven Lambert, Cameron Dixion, Bryce Lambert, Karlie Michael Damon, and Kailee Morgan Lambert; his great-grandchildren, Rawlings Allen Damon and Emery Michael Damon; his sisters, Susan Stewart and Joyce “Jatanna” Gilbert (Eddie); his nephews, Will Stewart and Stephen Stewart; and his niece, Kayla Gilbert.

Michael retired from International Paper, where he worked on the No. 2 Paper Machine. A devoted family man, he cherished time spent with those he loved most. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and outdoorsman who found great joy in being outdoors. He also enjoyed watching westerns and never missed an opportunity to share stories and memories with family and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to Georgetown First Assembly of God or Georgetown Church of God.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Georgetown First Assembly of God, 331 St. James Street, Georgetown, South Carolina. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
