Georgetown: Wendell Arthur "Wendy" Cannon, 60, died Friday, January 15, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Cannon was born in Georgetown on October 16, 1955, a son of Arthurleen Hardwick Cannon Alford and the late Samuel Earl Cannon. He grew up in Georgetown and attended Winyah High School. Mr. Cannon was a retired house painter. He was a loving father and a special son. Surviving in addition to his mother of Georgetown are: a daughter, Ashley S. Cannon of Georgetown, his companion, Debbie Burbage of Georgetown; his companion's four children, Jim, Jackie, Jessica and Tina; his companion's grandchildren; former wife, Diane H. Wilson of Georgetown; and two brothers, Jimmy Earl Cannon and Francis Christopher Ackerman, both of Georgetown. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
