Surfside Beach: Wesley Sandel Ragin, Jr. 55, son of the late Wesley Sandel Ragin and Judith Walters Ragin, died Saturday, December 2, 2017, at his residence. Mr. Ragin was born February 1, 1962, in Anderson. He grew up in Pawleys Island and attended Wilson High School in Florence. Mr. Ragin service in the US Navy. He was self-employed Master Carpenter and loved Surfing and Skateboarding. He had a great love for all animals and birds. Wesley was much the jokester and loved to make people laugh. Surviving are: a son, Wesley "Trip" Sandel Ragin, III of Surfside Beach; a brother, Jeffrey Keith Ragin of Surfside Beach; his son's mother, Dorothy Lewis Ragin Forkasdi of Surfside Beach, and the entire skateboarding world. Graveside Services will be two o'clock Thursday afternoon, December 7, 2017, at Pawleys Island Presbyterian Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Steve Wilkins. The family suggests memorials to: Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church, 9967 Ocean Hwy, Pawleys Island, SC 29585 The Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
