William L. "Bill" Lambert, 86, husband of Barbara (Sherrill) Lambert, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at his home. He was born in Georgetown, a son of the late Willie T. "Buster" Lambert and Mae (Creel) Lambert.

Bill was a US Veteran, formerly a butcher, and worked in maintenance with International Paper.

In addition to his wife, Barbara, of the home, Bill is survived by his children, Julie (Gerald) Parker and Bernie (Brooke) Sigmon; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Lambert; his brother, Roland A. (Lorraine) Lambert; brothers-in-law, Homer Floyd and Bob (Gail) Sherrill; grandchildren, Ryan Sigmon, Sadie Parker Lewis (Nathan), Jessica Lambert Hechler (Dusty), and Randi Lambert Thompson (Andy); great-grandchildren, Dusty, Nathan, and Emma Heckler, Gauge Ard, Andrew Thompson, and Layton Lewis; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Bill was preceded in death by one son, Richard L. Lambert; brothers, Tommy and Bobby Lambert; and sisters, Evelyn L. Floyd and Patricia Lambert.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 24 in the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to their local animal shelter in memory of Bill.
