Pawleys Island:
William L. Busta, 87, passed away in the early dawn peacefully at home on Monday, December 5, 2005, with his family.
Mr. Busta was born September 20, 1918 in Cohoes, N. Y., the son of the late Ludivicus and Katarcyna Babcia Busta. He served in the Army during World War II. Mr. Busta lived most of his life in Watervliet, N. Y. and retired in 1980 after thirty-five years employment with AL Tech Steel Co. He moved to Pawleys Island two years ago. Mr. Busta was devoted to his wife, children, family, and friends and will be dearly missed.
Surviving are: his beloved wife of 60 years, Helen V. Busta of Pawleys Island; a son Bruce T. Busta and his wife Roberta of Stuyvesant, N. Y.; a daughter, Kathy Erbe and her husband Jimmy of Pawleys Island; a brother, Stanley Busta of Cohoes, N. Y.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at four-thirty o'clock. Officiating will be the Rev. Laurie McAlpine, Tidelands Community Hospice, Inc. Chaplain.
