Andrews: William Thomas "Billy" Gamble, 69, died Monday, November 16, 2009, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mr. Gamble was born in Georgetown on February 8, 1940, a son of the late William Arthur Gamble and Pearl Thomas Gamble. He grew up in Andrews and was a graduate of Andrews High School. Mr. Gamble retired after thirty-eight years employment with M & T Chemical Co. He attended Pine Crest Baptist Church. Mr. Gamble was an avid University of South Carolina Gamecock fan. Surviving are: his wife, Betty Taylor Gamble of Andrews; two sons, Rick Gamble (Sophie) of Charleston and Ryan Gamble of Andrews; two daughters, Donna Gamble of Charleston and Candice Gamble of Andrews; two brothers, William Gamble, Jr. (Carolyn) of Garden City Beach and Stanley Gamble (Genevieve) of Moncks Corner; a sister, Eugenia Crawford of Andrews; and five grandchildren, Taylor, Madison, William, Brett, and Summer.
