IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William Shane
Harrelson
July 10, 1976 – November 16, 2022
William Shane Harrelson, 46, died unexpectedly on November 16, 2022, in Charleston, SC. He was the
only child born to Rex D. Harrelson and Cheryl M. Harrelson on July 10, 1976.
Shane graduated from Kingstree Senior High and had served in the National Guard. Upon moving to
Myrtle Beach, Shane's first job was with Myrtle Waves. He then went on to work with A&I Water and
Restoration, and later was employed with Atlantic Sales and Repair.
A devoted son and care giver. His greatest joy was preparing food for others throughout the year.
Family and friends called him "Propane Shane." At Christmas, Shane would BBQ for the family
gathering. He loved nature, woodworking, and would target practice with his bow and arrow. Although,
he could never bring himself to harm any living thing.
Shane is survived by his mother Cheryl M. Harrelson and grandmother Lola H. Morris who he held dear
to his heart. In addition to his mother and grandmother, Shane is survived by cousins: Adam (Jolena)
Hardee, Noah (Christie) Hardee, and Lindsy Morris; Aunts: Debrah (Luke) Hardee, Cindy (Rick) Tisdale
and a special Aunt Kathy (Robbie) Vermeland and an Uncle Bryan (Linda) Morris.
Shane is predeceased by his father Rex D. Harrelson, grandfather Harry L. Morris, and grandfather Billy
Harrelson, and grandmother Lila Harrelson.
His body of this world may have failed but his spirit was stubbornly strong:
When peace, like a river attendeth my way
When sorrow like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.
