McClellanville:
William Franklin Hathaway, Jr., 75, died Friday, May 8, 2009, at East Cooper Regional Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Mr. Hathaway was born in McClellanville on April 29, 1934, a son of the late William Franklin Hathaway and Lizzie Elliott Brinson Hathaway. He was a graduate of McClellanville High School and served in the U. S. Army. Mr. Hathaway was a retired employee of the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Dept at Cape Romain.
Mr. Hathaway was predeceased by: his wife, Irene Jackson Hathaway; and two sisters, Dorothy H. Darrell and Throney Hathaway.
Surviving are: a brother, Richard E. Hathaway of Georgetown; a sister, June B. Fields of Houston, Tex.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Wednesday morning, May 13, 2009, at the graveside in McClellanville United Methodist Cemetery.
