Andrews:
William Farrell Moore, Jr., 77, died Friday, November 17, 2006, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Moore was born in Asheville, N. C. on November 18, 1928, son of the late William Farrell Moore, Sr. and Mary James Moore. He served in Army National Guard. Mr. Moore retired in 2000 as owner-operator of Lakeside Furniture Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Andrews. Mr. Moore served his church in a number of capacities including Outreach Ministry, Royal Ambassadors Leader, Church Treasurer, Deacon, and Sunday School Teacher.
Mr. Moore was also active in Andrews community affairs. He coached youth football, baseball, and softball for over thirty-five years and was a Red Cross Blood Drive Coordinator.
Surviving are: his wife, Ruby Floyd Moore of Andrews; three sons, Dan Moore and Michael Moore, both of Andrews, and Will Moore of Worcester, Mass; two daughters, Judy Moore and Christie Moore, both of Andrews; a brother, David Moore of Summerville; four sisters, Mary Lou Mauldin, Annette Williams, Nancy West, and Sharon Benson, all of Summerville; eleven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be two o'clock Monday afternoon, November 20, 2006, at First Baptist Church of Andrews. Officiating will be the Rev. Donald P. Sapp and the Rev. Murray W. Powell. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
