Georgetown: Willie Thad Bullard, 82, died Thursday, October 27, 2011, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mr. Bullard was born on July 29, 1929 in Upper Georgetown County, a son of the late John Walter Bullard and Fannie Jones Bullard. He served in the U. S. Army in Germany during World War II. Mr. Bullard was a retired millwright and worked with various construction companies. He moved to Georgetown 35 years ago and was a member of Woodman of the World and Rose Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are: his wife, Jenny Anderson Bullard of Georgetown; five sons, Spencer Altman (Nita) of Aynor, Gerald Altman of Murrells Inlet, Robert L. Altman of Georgetown, James Altman (Brenda) of Voluntown, Conn., and Willie T. Bullard, Jr. (Susan) of Conway; two daughters, Frances McCoy (Terry) of Summerville and Sandra Wilkins of Moncks Corner; eleven grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at two o'clock on Saturday afternoon, October 29, 2011, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Sid L. Taylor.
